Antifascist Activists from Jerusalem made an action against the Nationalist “Jerusalem Flag Parade” which takes place every year, where thousands of people come to march and set the fires of hate to our streets, with thousands of National Flags, Racist and Fascist hate chants. The action is also an act of solidarity with the Palestinian shop owners that were forced to shut down so the Parade could go trough their streets.
The Activists released a huge Banner in a main junction on the march course at King George Street and Ben Yehuda Street.
The Israeli Police arrested 6 Activists and after questioning and a long wait released them but took the banner duo to ‘Hurting the Public Feelings’ claim. The Banner reads “Jerusalem against Nationalism” in Hebrew and Arabic.Our Jerusalem is a city of Love, Acceptance and Diversity, and we will not let anyone paint it in other coloures that only bring on us more Hate, Nationalism and Violence.

להביע התנגדות לשטיפת רחובות עירנו באלפי צועדים החוגגים שנה אחר שנה בהבערת העיר שלנו עם אלפי דגלי לאום וקריאות שנאה גזעניות ופאשיסטיות.הפעילים תלו באנר ענק בצומת מרכזית על תוואי מצעד “ריקוד הדגלים” בצומת הרחובות קינג ג’ורג’ ובן יהודה.
בהמשך משטרת ישראל עיכבה 6 פעילים ובתום תשאול והמתנה שחררה אותם אך החרימה את הבאנר באשמת ‘פגיעה ברגשות הציבור’.ירושלים שלנו היא ירושלים של אהבה,קבלה ושל מגוון, ולא ניתן לאף אחד לצבוע אותה בצבעים אחרים שרק מביאים על כולנו שנאה, לאומנות ואלימות.

ناشطون ضد الفاشية من القدس نظموا حركة ضد العالمي “موكب علم القدس” الذي يحدث كل سنة، الذي يضم آلاف الناس الذين يمشون فيه ويضرمون النار في شوارعنا مع آلاف الاعلام والترنيمات العنصرية والفاشية. وتضامناً مع الفلسطينيين، مالكوا الدكاكين الذين اجبروا على الاغلاق للسماح بالموكب في الاستمرار في شوارعهم.
الناشطون أطلقوا راية كبيرة في المفرق الرئيس التي أقيمت في شارع الملك جورج و شارع بين يهودا.
الشرطة الإسرائيلية قامت باعتقال ستة ناشطين و بعد التحقيق معهم و وقت طويل من الانتظار قاموا بإطلاق سراحهم لكن تم ازالة الراية بسبب الزعم “ جرح مشاعر العامة ” .قدسنا مدينة حب، تقبّل و تنوّع ، و نحن لن نسمح لأي احد كان بأن يلونها بألوان تجلب المزيد من الكراهية، القومية و العنف.
