Once again the Far Right is coming to Portland to attempt to silence and terrorize vulnerable members of our community. Our city is a target for right-wing attacks precisely because it is a symbol of progressive values. The insurgent right has been laying seige to our city for two years and now the institutional right is throwing their support behind this brutal campaign. With Republicans at the federal level taking steps to criminalize grassroots resistance to white supremacy and concentration camps, we must show that our community will never back down to right-wing threats! We call on the people of Portland to come out to let the fascists on the streets and in the White House know we will continue to defend our community from the rise of fascism! Antifascism in Portland scares the right because it is working. We are a model of resistance to Trumpism, ICE, and the squadist tactics of groups like the Proud Boys. Let’s keep up the good work!
