Yesterday, January 19,
marked a sad anniversary of the assasination of Stanislav Markelov and
Anastasia Baburova at the hands of ultra right criminal group in the
center of Moscow in 2009.Stanislav was a lawyer defending
antiracist activists in Russia and was one of the few legal
professionals who would oppose hate-groups at the time when the majority
of law enforcement and courts tended to look past hate crimes.Anastasia was a journalist and an ecological activist.
Never forget the people who put their life on the line fighting for human rights.
Opposing hate groups is not about politics, it’s about saving innocent lives from brainwashed murderers.
