TBT: The World Church of the Creator (WCOTC) was a white supremacist terror organization that had existed in the US since the early 1970s. In 1999 one of their members went on a murderous spree of random drive-by shootings, killing two people and injuring ten others. Anti-Racist Action (ARA) vowed to shut down the WCOTC and their leader, Matthew Hale and began what became a four-year battle against them that ended with WCOTC in tatters. In 2001 Peoria, IL. agreed to allow Hale to hold a WCOTC recruitment rally in their public library. ARA rolled up and shut the rally down by any means necessary. After this, Hale was unable to book another meeting at any library; two years later Hale would be arrested for ordering a hit on a federal judge and would be sentenced to a 40-year prison term.
