September 7, Wien – Fackelmarsch der “Identitären” am Kahlenberg verhindern!

Against the right-wing extremist march of the “Identitäre” on September 7, 2019 in Vienna! On September 7, 2019, the right-wing extremists of the “Identitäre” are calling for a march with torches to Kahlenberg in Vienna. Since 2017, they are marching there and are referring to the events that happened at the battle of Kahlenberg in 1683 and try to create a myth as an justification for their racist, so-called ”defence of Europe”. It is no coincidence, that the racist mass murderer of New Zealand used the myth of 1683, the so-called “Türkenbelagerung” (“Siege of Vienna”) and wrote the date on his weapons, which he used for his brutal actions. The Austrian right-wing party FPÖ and the neofascists “Identitäre” are sharing the same racist ideology, which always amount to (fatal) violence. Their propaganda is based on an ethnic identity that produces violent exclusion of so-called “Others”. Besides, it stands for authoritarian characteristics like willingness to sacrifice, martial masculinity and combat readiness. We think that this right-wing extremist ideology is very dangerous and because of the upcoming elections in Austria, which will also take place in September, we want to clarify with this antifascist mobilization against their march: Make Racists Afraid Again! Racism kills – we will fight against it and we will show, that we won’t let us split in those racist categories. We stand for a society where everybody can be different without fear and where a good life for anyone is possible – a society apart from capitalism, nationalism and other inhuman ideologies. Come to Vienna on September 7, 2019, participate at the antifascist protests and let us spread the message: No place for racism in Vienna and anywhere else!
