Ménilmontant FC 1871 are Paris’ community-based, anti-fascist football club. After recently displaying a banner with a pithy quote from Parisian MC Hugo TSR that the racist right didn’t like, a complaint was filed and the French Football Association have now banned MFC 1871 from their own grounds and fined them 800 Euros. Let’s be absolutely clear: just like MLS’ attempt to eradicate anti-fascist sentiment from the scaffolds in North America, this is a clear attack designed to wipe out anti-fascism from the football grounds of France by going after that country’s most notorious antifa football club.
