MELBOURNE REPORTBACK! (via Campaign Against Racism & Fascism): What a stella victory against the fascists today! The racist thugs were outnumbered by 4-1. We blocked them from marching at every turn. They couldn’t take the steps of Parliament House. When they then tried to march into the city with their racist chants and flag waving, we raced around and blocked them again and again, re-routing their march back out of the city through Carlton gardens. Congratulations to everyone who stood on the side of unity against racism, homophobia, sexism and fascism. They’ll always lose in Melbourne!!Over the next few months, there’s an array of famous far-right racists descending on Melbourne to spread their hate in our city. In July, fascist mouthpieces for the internet alt-right Lauren Southern and Stephen Molyneux are arriving from Canada, followed by far-right politician Nigel Farage from Britain who headed up the racist scaremongering around Brexit, and to kick it off it looks like Donald Trump himself will be coming to Australia! The Campaign Against Racism and Fascism is gearing up to take them on. To help us organise these major events, come along on Tuesday, 6pm to help us out!
