Mass Mobilization to Stop the Deportations of Iraqi Refugees on April 25th in Cincinnati – Pack the Appeals Court!
On April 25th, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati will hear I.C.E.’s appeal of Judge Goldsmith’s Stay of deportation that has temporarily protected more than 1,400 Iraqi refugees from deportation in the Hamama v. Adducci case. If I.C.E. wins, the stay will be lifted and they would face immediate deportation. We must get everyone we can to Cincinnati to pack the court. Everything we have won so far in this fight has been because of the mass mobilizations of the immigrant rights movement, especially the direct action in Detroit on June 11, 2017 that confronted I.C.E. and blocked the prison buses as they tried to take hundreds of Iraqi immigrants to detention centers/concentration camps and set the model for action to stop deportations BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!
