March 30, Poznań – Hello Brother Hello Sister Demonstracja Solidarnościowa

Muslims in solidarity with the persecuted. We invite you to the demonstration on Saturday, March 30 at 12:00 on Plac Wolności. We want to pay tribute to the victims of the Christchurch mosque and share some food and a good word, get to know each other, talk about our fears and hopes. Two weeks after the attack in New Zealand, in which 50 innocent people were killed during the prayer – from Poland, Poznan we want to show our solidarity and support for all people persecuted and excluded because of their origin, religion, skin color, gender or sexual orientation.
The words which were said by the first victim to the attacker were: Hello Brother. We say these words to you too: Hello brothers and sisters! May this greeting sound with all its strength, in spite of those who dont want to see us now or ever.
We want to shout loudly and clearly: we do not consent the acts of violence, no matter who carry them out and in the name of what it happens. We, Muslims and none-Muslims, believers and non-believers, all residents of Poznań and all Poland, stand shoulder to shoulder with the victims of brutal attacks, which sole purpose is to spread senseless hatred and break up our unity. With friends and everyone, we want to share some food and good words to get to know each other, talk about our fears and our hopes. We want to find a way together to deal with hatred and violence.

Instead of being reluctant and fearful, we want to be supportive of each other. We want to get to know and talk with each other, and sit together. Let’s be good friends and neighbors to each other. So that we could avoid hatred which could lead us to racial terrorism. We believe we share the same values – truth, goodness and friendship.
No more wars, racism and fascism.
Let’s stay and stand strong together to live in a better world.
