January 28, Lahore – Protest against Jamiat’s violence on campus
We are going to hold a protest against the fascist organisation Jamiat who attacked Comrade Rai Muhammad Ali Aftab and have hijacked our Campus for decades. We all know their history very well and how they function. It’s time to end their hooliganism. Now we will make them understand that their time is over. Their is no space for violence and their fascist politics in Punjab University. The administration and political bureaucracy have always backed them to do of their wanting and bar students from engaging critically with the educational and socio-political failures of this state apparatus. Alamgir Wazir was abducted from the premises of the Campus and the university’s administration was involved in his abduction. To educate ourselves, to organise and to demand what is rightfully ours are our fundamental rights and we will not rest until we fully get them. We will fight all these fascists, the administrations and all those who back and support them. We demand immediate action against the culprits and a precedent to be made of this incident. We will not let such acts to happen again in our Campuses.
