HOW BODEN GOT ITS FIRST PRIDE PARADE

I would like to share some good news! I live in a town in Sweden called Boden. Last summer some NMR-members decided to burn a pride flag. A new flag was put up, and was burned again. This made a lot of people very angry, so short-term we rainbow-bombed the town and put up rainbows everywhere. We also held a pride parade.
Long-term we organized Boden’s first pride festival. The festival was last week, and it was amazing. NMR told their member to come and counter protest at the parade. Two of them showed up, while somewhere between 600-1000 people walked in the parade. Pretty clear who’s winning, eh? I’m especially happy with how many we was since Boden only has like 28000 citizens, and it was almost a snowstorm. I guess the nazis didn’t want to get cold.
Sadly, NMR has decided to try to get into our town council in the election this fall, and they have allowance to march on may 1st, of all days. But! We’re planning our counter demonstrations and we will make sure they’ll never hold power in our town! Among other things, we’re thinking about doing something to ironically thank them, because if they hadn’t burned those flags we wouldn’t have had our festival. It’s thanks to them all of Boden was dressed in rainbows.
