August 22, Nottingham – Nottingham Says No To Racism!
On August 22nd a far right group by the name of the British Street Commandos (BSC) were planning an ‘all lives matter’ demonstration in Nottingham. They are a group created solely to oppose the BLM movement and are a recent offshoot of the fascist football lads alliance. This demo has since been absorbed into a larger national demo. This larger national demo has now been organised in Nottingham on the 22nd by ‘the mad viking’. This demo has merged with the previous BSC demo and pulled in other fascist groups. Despite their demo being billed as for veterans it is in fact being chiefly organised and supported by far right groups including the DFLA, the Yorkshire patriots and the BSC among others. These are hardened racists, despite their claims to be just patriots we know who is involved and the DFLA, BSC and Yorkshire patriots are all solidly fascist groups. We must stop them now before they can begin building across the country. There is a BLM open mic in the square also on the day and this is what we will be defending due to threats made already by a number of the groups coming to Nottingham on the 22nd. We need as many people as possible to achieve this aim. The city of Nottingham has a proud anti racist history and once again we will stand in opposition of these ideologies of hatred. We stand united in defence of our city and all its wonderfully diverse communities. We ask you all to stand with us and make a statement. NOTTINGHAM SAYS NO TO RACISM! No pasaran! #BLM ✊
