Anti-fascist activists from Rose City Antifa, Pacific Northwest Anti-Fascist Workers Collective, and Eugene Antifa have been able to get access to the logs of a Discord server used by a variety of Pacific Northwest fascists and white supremacists, under the tongue-in-cheek name, the “Cascadian Coffee Company” (CCC).  Discord is a chat app originally developed for online gaming, but often used by the far-right and white supremacist groups to organize their groups and events. These logs contain thousands of messages detailing activities, organizing, and interactions of one particular group in the region.

About Andrew Oswalt, aka “DatGoy”

In the last year, Andrew has been arrested two times for harassment related to his neo-Nazi beliefs: On July 29th at 11:03pm, he was arrested at E 15th and Moss in Eugene, OR by University of Oregon campus police for carrying a concealed weapon while on university property. Then more recently, Andrew was arrested on January 22nd of this year by the Corvallis police department for two counts of criminal mischief, again relating actions due to his white supremacist beliefs.

Andrew first came onto the radar of local antifascists on April 22nd 2017, when he attended an alt-right “Patriot Prayer” rally on NE 82nd Ave in Portland, at which MAX train murderer Jeremy Christian was also present. The 82nd Ave rally where Andrew was first spotted was widely attended by Nazis and white nationalists attempting to “mainstream” their beliefs by mingling with the crowd.
Andrew attended the 82nd Ave rally with neo-Nazi David “Deedub” Woods, who was also an active member of the CCC Discord logs. Andrew and David both live in Corvallis and often accompany one another to actions. Together, Andrew Oswalt, David Woods, and Jimmy Marr have been organizing since at least the spring of 2017 within a clandestine network of Pacific Northwest white supremacists, often over the Discord gaming app.

Since his introduction to other PNW neo-Nazis via the Discord CCC logs, Oswalt has participated in racist and antisemitic banner drops, flyering campaigns, and placed racist stickers on the cars of progressive organizers. He has also attended public neo-Nazi demonstrations with Jimmy Marr, David Woods, members of the neo-Nazi gang American Front (AF) (led by the recently incarcerated Jacob Laskey), and the AF support group known as the American Patriots Brigade (APB).
As mentioned earlier, on April 24th, 2017, Andrew was photographed at a Holocaust denial demonstration in front of Jimmy Marr’s home in Springfield, Oregon, where he can clearly be seen holding a Nazi flag with a swastika emblem.

As we have mentioned, Andrew is a very active planner and participant in regular racist banner drops (which they refer to as ‘flagocausts’) alongside Jimmy Marr and the other CCC Discord Nazis; primarily up and down the I-5 corridor from southern Oregon into Washington . These banner drops usually last 20 to 90 minutes, and the banners always carry a different type of racist message.

Occasionally, Andrew Oswalt, Jimmy Marr, and David Woods target universities, though Andrew generally avoids being visibly involved in actions at OSU out of fear of being recognized. When Andrew does appear he conceals his identity with a mask and long sleeve coat. On May 20, 2017, Andrew and his cohorts chalked racist messages and staged a neo-Nazi demonstration at the OSU Solidarity Fair. Additionally, two months later (on July 19th), someone chalked similar racist slurs on the Corvallis waterfront: (http://archive.is/awOKK).
Andrew and his allies call these chalking actions “chalkocausts”, and they commonly feature messages like “Uncle Adolf Hitler was right,” “Build the wall,” as well as swastikas, and various other racist messages.

A few times, Andrew’s fellow Nazis in the CCC Discord slip up and refer to him by his first name, and he often mentions being at Oregon State University.
When Jimmy Marr and David Woods placed approximately 200 racist flyers around the OSU campus, he congratulated them on a job well done in the thread pictured to the left.

The content and nature of Oswalt’s contributions to the CCC Discord chats provide a stark but unsurprising contrast with the demeanor and language he uses in public, even in recent interviews about his alt-right politics.
In his interview with an OSU campus newspaper earlier this week, Oswalt is described as saying he “believes the media at large has unfairly characterized individuals with his set of beliefs as psychopathic. He advises all students to seriously question any ideas put before them, including their perceptions of him.  He went on to make the following statement:

“I am not a Hollywood Nazi. I am not interested in killing anyone. I am not interested in harming anyone. All I want is a frank discussion.”

“@Artair When was the last time you participated in some kind of action? There is no better anti-depressant than laughing in a weeping k**e’s face. Waving a confederate flag on the I-5 overpass and witnessing the adulation of the people. Even just going to the shooting range with your brothers to prepare for what is to come.”

During discussions two days before the aforementioned April 24th Holocaust denial rally in Springfield (where he carried a Nazi Reichskriegsflagge), Oswalt mentions that:

 “…even once [he] get[s] this Bill of Rights passed,” getting publicly doxxed as a neo-Nazi “could damage [him] pretty severely.”
“[F]ortunately,” he continues, “most of them are completely fucking incompetent. [A]nd I have built a nice Godwin’s Law shield.”

This week, he admitted to campus journalists that he spends much of his time in student government either intentionally “trolling” to provoke others, or “performing” extreme caricatures of leftist reasoning to make a point. Effectively, Andrew Oswalt admits to utilizing white nationalist trolling techniques to infiltrate destabilize progressive groups on an everyday basis within ASOSU.
There should be no question as to whether or not he should remain a (fascist) “member” of a democratic student governing body. Nor should an active neo-Nazi organizer who considers his graduate teaching experiences to be clear evidence in favor of “scientific racism“ and sexism get paid to teach anyone anything.
