Les Roudier, des fachos à la ferme (2ème partie)

The news agency Le Pressoir has alerted two days ago on the holding of a “Patriotic Day” organized by the Ligue du Midi, whose boss Richard Roudier has for the occasion gathered around him a real court of miracles of the extreme right, guests on which we will return earlier this week. This is the occasion for us to complete the portrait of Richard Roudier that we published in the early summer : after the first years, here is the route of Richard Roudier of the Identitaires to the Committee jeanne. 

We left Richard Roudier in 2002, when the Bloc Identitaire was created. Let us remember that Identitaires were created in August 2002 by militants of Radical Unity (UR), a nationalist-revolutionary group (to which belong the Roudier father and son) prohibited and dissolved that same year, after one of its members tried to assassinate President Jacques Chirac on July 14, 2002. Among the founding members of the Identitaires are those who will be the main leaders of the movement: Fabrice Robert, Philippe Vardon, Philippe Millau and Richard Roudier.

Within the movement, in addition to the thankless task of ensuring the safety of the meetings, Richard Roudier is in charge of the “development” cell: to do this, he animates “structuring meals” throughout France in 2004- 2005, and he organizes with his sons the Second Assises Identitaires in Lyon on November 13, 2004. Roudier also boasts of having imposed two major axes within the Identitaires: the abandonment of anti-Semitism, which he considers an obstacle (he will not hesitate, however, in October 2010, to sign the petition for the repeal of the Gayssot law and the liberation of the negationist Vincent Reynouard) and regionalism, of which Roudier and his sons are promoting to nationalists by always convinced.

The league of the noon before the letter

Richard Roudier was already taking part in the regional magazine Montségur of the association Parcours d’Europe, while his son Olivier became active in his association Lo Gripet (“Le farfadet”). But in 2006, the whole Roudier family will find a new collective, “Peoples-Identities-Cultures Occitanie”, which prefigures what will be the Ligue du Midi. We find Martial Roudier under this label at the convention Identitaire of 2007. It is that the fight “identity” must according to Roudier be conducted not ”  against France, but against a certain France, that of Jacobin centralism, administration, the reduction of public freedoms, that of the “mestissarde” porridge, of nihilism, of leveling, of decadence and renunciation . ” ^{[ 1 ]} In June 2007, with the identity of Alsace Year First and the Breton Idea , Peoples-Identities-Cultures Occitan participated in the creation of a Federation Identitaire And Regionalist (FIER) initiative remains without result .

At the international conference on the Islamization of Europe , on December 18, 2010, the security of the Charenton space was entrusted to the SO of the BI, in which the Roudier brothers took part, Richard taking care of the logistics. They are then alongside activists of the Jewish Defense League (LDJ), a far-right Zionist group (Roudier aviat made  contact with Jean-Claude Nataf called ”  Michaël Carlisle” , leader of the LDJ, in the mid-2000s ). During the 2000s, Roudier was also very involved in his work with the Committee for the Support of European Prisoners (CPCE), a committee to support the perpetrators of security and racist crimes, as well as extreme right-wing activists. will later devote a specific article.

It is the crisis

But over the years, old Roudier, 65, ends up no longer in this new look group that seems to be moving away from the fundamentals of revolutionary nationalism so dear to him, and he also denounces ”  a tendency to youth  “. Fabrice Robert, for his part, judges that Roudier is a man of the past, aspiring to ”  a very centralized movement, 20th century format  “. Atmosphere!

The mustachu is not tender with the two main leaders of the party: he considers Fabrice Robert a “chronic depressive” incapable of taking any important decision and which, according to him, does not have the soul of ‘a chef ; as for Philippe Vardon, it is nothing less than an opportunist who uses the Identitaires as a step for his own promotion within the “new” National Front of Marine Le Pen. The future will not be wrong, it must be acknowledged!

When Fabrice Robert, Philippe Vardon and André-Yves Beck decide to dismiss his friend Philippe Millau on March 17 and 18, 2012, Richard Roudier counterattack in early April by means of a statement in which he questions the operation of the structure , denounces the “hidden councilors” and “submission to the National Front” (follow my gaze). Following this sling, several sections will disappear from the organizational chart of the BI, including that of the Languedoc, Roudier having withdrawn to the Ligue du Midi.

Our mustachu had indeed secured his rear and declared in prefecture in January 2011 the Ligue du Midi, whose purpose is “to  compete for democratic expression in Languedoc Roussillon by promoting the historical identities and public freedoms of the inhabitants of this region.  ” No kidding ! In the regional elections of March 2010, it was already under the label Ligue du Midi that the Identity Bloc presented its candidates in Languedoc-Roussillon, a list led by Richard Roudier who obtains the ridiculous score of 0.68% on the first tour (it recidivates in 2011 for the cantonales, and collects … 76 votes.)

Network Identity

After his departure from the Identitaires, Roudier tries to organize his own network with the others disembarked. On June 7, 2012, he launches the Réseau Identités with, among others, Breton Philippe Milliau. In the stride, and to make talk about him, the network participates in the legislative elections in June 2012. The Ligue du Midi presents 11 candidates, and does little better than in previous years: Richard Roudier presents himself in the 5th constituency of Gard and has 311 votes, or 0.54% of the vote. His son Olivier, in the 6th district, is even worse off, with only 118 votes, or 0.27% … However, Roudier had sworn in the 1980s not to borrow the electoral path, but he regularly returns to it all during the years 2000 and 2010, history surely to get a little pub and to be able to benefit from a media forum.

Thus, in August 2012, the Réseau Identitéstities association is officially created, with a similar purpose to the structures previously founded by the Roudiers, but specifying that it is a ”  political formation that contributes to the expression of suffrage within the framework of the institutions of the Republic “. It was at a “decentralized re-entry university” in September that Network-Identities officially announced its creation (a small forty present). But despite the good intentions of departure, each collective remains nose on its local activities, and the “network” has difficulty to exist, until its self-dissolution in March 2016.

When Roudier meets Ayoub

Roudier then sought out new friends, and was obliged to make the nationalist drawer funds: thus, he approached the chief of band Serge “Batskin” Ayoub: on December 7, 2012, he participated in a dinner- debates with Ayoub in his bar, the Local, and in May 2013 he takes part in a demonstration in homage to French activist Sébastien Deyzieu, and he even speaks on behalf of the Identités network.

He returned to the Local on June 20 to support his new friend, whose “National Revolutionary Youths” have just been dissolved following the mortal blows carried by one of his members to our comrade Clément Meric: for the occasion, Roudier dissers on the “public freedoms” … But in reality, Roudier caresses the hope of finding within the troops of Ayoub the “revolutionary” spirit that had attracted him to Radical Unity, and fresh troops to carry this ideal. This is certainly why, unlike the overwhelming majority of extreme right-wing structures or personalities, he does not hesitate to show his support for Estban Morillo , the perpetrator of the mortal blows to Clement, it proposes the assistance of its support committee.

It is in this perspective that, in June 2013, he launches (again!) A new structure, with Roland Hélie and Eric Miné, the “Collective for the Defense of Civil Liberties” which presents itself as an “enlarged version “Of the CEPE, and which, among other things, supports Morillo. It should be noted that Roudier found Renaud Camus (who had already crossed the foundations of Islamization in December 2010 and even in November 2010 in Lunel), who, like other “personalities” of the extreme right (Christian Vanneste, Guillaume Faye) supports the initiative. In the same year, Roudier, who was known to be the fool around the fire during pagan solstices organized in his castle, went to Saint-Eugène church in May 2014 for the 800th anniversary of the birth of Saint-Louis, and papate with the pretender to the throne of France Louis XX!

The National Front temptation

At the end of 2014, Richard Roudier also tried to join the SIEL, to the great displeasure of its president, Karim Ouchikh, who was concerned about the Ligue du Midi’s attempt to enterism, which could pose a problem in his relations at the time, there again cordial of its movement with the National Front. Louis Alliot would not indeed look very favorably on the arrival of Papy Roudier in his region …

In a terse statement, Ouchikh refused to adhere to it in these terms: ”  After careful consideration of the political history of the president of the Ligue du Midi, which reveals in particular the existence of deep divergences with the political line of the SIEL and with the RBM Charter , but also of persistent disputes with the forces of the National Front in Languedoc-Roussillon, the Executive Bureau of the SIEL decided not to respond favorably to the application for membership of Mr Richard Roudier.  If it is a little hard to blame Roudier for his journey when we know that the FN has long welcomed into it members of the entire nationalist galaxy, including the most radical, it is on the other hand correct that Roudier has always been very critical of the Front, whose political line he does not share: ”  I never joined in my life because this party runs counter to my political views, Europe, regionalism and federalism. But if a small movement next door can have a weight and present candidates, then I can sign up . ”

On the other hand, although he never really digested Jean-Marie Le Pen’s “betrayal” of Pierre Poujade, he still respects the man who carried the FN for nearly forty years, ‘to his speech by Valmy and his references to the Enlightenment, or even worse, that of April 2007 when, on the slab of Argenteuil, Jean-Marie addressed the population saying to them “you are full French “. Roudier may call himself “0% racist,” for him, to claim that Arabs, sons or grandsons of Arabs (whether born in France or not) are French, it is intolerable! Finally, while Roudier recognized the FN as having a certain electoral legitimacy, he rejected his strategy of “alone against all”, regretted the absence of an alliance in the regions, and dreamed of a “great reconciliation” with those excluded from the FN (Carl Lang, Pierre Vial, etc.) who became his new friends.

In June 2015, we find Papy Roudier at the first (and last) “Charles-Martel meetings” in Poitiers, organized by the Cercle des Chats boots, a small association created in 2012 by Brigitte Bayle, co-founder of Riposte laïque and deceased in 2013, and since animated by Jacques Soulis, who has since become a member of the French Party of Carl Lang. Roudier finds all his new friends: Pierre Vial (Terre et Peuple), Roland Hélie (National Synthesis), Hugues Bouchu (Francilian League), Christine Tasin (Republican Resistance), Paul-Marie Coûteaux (formerly SIEL), Carl Lang The Party of France), Pierre Cassen (Riposte Laïque) …

But in the same year, the appearance of Marion Maréchal-Le Pen and his line “open” to the other components of the extreme right nevertheless somewhat alter this position, and the Ligue du Midi supports the FN for regional elections of 2015 in these terms: ”  Les Identitaires invite to mobilize, on Sunday, December 13, for a vote of rupture – certain members of the Ligue du Midi will say a revolutionary vote -, in favor of Louis Aliot, Marion Maréchal Le Pen Midi and the other heads of lists of the National Front  “.

100% islamophobic

The years 2010 are mainly for Richard Roudier those of a great rapprochement with the Islamophobe microcosm. Roudier has been a regular contributor to the Riposte Laïque (RL) website since 2013, and in 2015 he responds to the call of Renaud Camus, with the support of Riposte laïque, for an attempt to launch the Pegida movement in France. big flop.

Roudier plays the game and organizes two rallies in 2015: the first in January under the label “Pegida Montpellier”, the second in July, with Maurice Vidal de RL, under a “stop Jihad” banner. In his speech, among the urgent measures requested by Roudier, in addition to the usual requests for the closure of mosques, the abolition of dual nationality or the introduction of “remigration”, he also called for ”  the establishment of a offense of anti-national or anti-Identity activities  “! Dare to dare …

A year later, in the organization on February 6 (in tribute to the nationalist riots of February 6, 1934), there were a number of demonstrations within the framework of the “European Days Save Our Country! “. The league of the Midi had organized the demonstration in Montpellier , which was joined by Pierre Vial and Lorenç Perrié Albanell for Terre et Peuple, Riposte Laïque and Vigilance Hallal by Alain de Peretti Della Rocca.

Rid of the Identity Network, which he dragged like a bullet, Roudier concentrated in 2016 on the activity of the Ligue du Midi. A new local of the League is open in the heart of Montpellier, for a cycle of conferences, a cine-club, small evenings with friends … If the League remains mainly on anti-migrants position (in October, the “Sauvons la France” campaign with Riposte Laïque, Siel and Viviers Bleu Marine, the Ligue du Midi organizes, a demonstration in Montpellier), it reconnects with its regionalism on the occasion of changes in the names of the regions. the Ligue du Midi is pleased that, among the five names chosen, is “Occitanie – Pays catalan”, whose appointment is attributed to him following a poster campaign that the small group has conducted in the region. Roudier ignited and did not hesitate to declare: ”  the identities of the Ligue du Midi can be proud because they have been the only ones in a few weeks to have had the foresight and determination necessary to make possible such a possibility, namely a region name that clearly defines our Catalan identity.  In the end, it was the “Occitanie” name alone: ​​Roudier believed he saw in it “a victory of the right of the blood on the right of the ground” … We have the small victories that we can!

On January 21, 2017, Richard Roudier, along with Stéphane Goepfert and Lorrain de Saint-Affrique, organized the Jean-Marie Le Pen “Jean-Marie Le Patriotic Banquet” in Palavas-les-Flots. Operated with vocal cords in 2014, Richard can not harangue the crowd as in the past, and it is now his son Olivier who intervenes generally in the name of the Ligue du Midi. However, a month later, Richard gave a short speech on “public freedoms” at a conference organized by Olivier Pichon, President of the Collective of Free Lawyers, to which were also present Christine Tasin, Pierre Cassen , Robert Ménard and Jean-Yves Le Gallou. In his speech, Roudier gives two examples of obstacles to public freedoms: the dissolution in 2005 of the neo-Nazi group “Elsass Corps” and the closing of the Naziskin Local Serge Ayoub in 2014!

Since then, it was thought that the hour of retreat had sounded for Richard Roudier, and that he was going to pass his hand to his sons: nevertheless, it is indeed he who leads the troops on June 29, rue Castilhon in Montpellier, when a handful of militants of the Ligue du Midi ransacked the premises of the association Raih (Network home insertion Hérault), which deals with the reception and protection of isolated foreign minors. As a result of this cowardly and stupid “action”, Richard Roudier was summoned to the police station one month later, and placed in police custody: a door slamming on his finger, and this is our valiant defender of order and security shouting to police violence!

If, despite this last blow of brilliance, Richard Roudier, more than 70 years old, seems at the end of the course, he can count on his two sons, Olivier and Martial, to ensure the next generation. But this is another story…
