Two militants of Rouvikonas will be imprisoned on June 14, unless they can collect a sum of several tens of thousands of euros by then: to us to react and make live the international anti-fascist solidarity!
Giorgos Kalaitzidis, co-founder of the anarchist and anti-fascist group Rouvikonas, and another member of this group, will end up in prison by June 14, unless international solidarity manages to raise 60000 euros, the amount the security deposit claimed for their release.

Their crime? Participated in the attack on Parliament on May 21 (bottles of paint thrown on the facade of this building), in support of Dimitris Koufontinas, a comrade incarcerated in perpetuity on a hunger strike.
Our comrade Yannis Youlountas, the documentary filmmaker, has published on his blog a long text on the situation of Giorgos and Nikos, taken up by French comrades from Rouvikonas who will intervene on Sunday during the concert of support to the Horde at the CICP, half of whose profits will be donated to the Greek comrades.
The Prime Minister and the Justice tries once and for all to put out of harm of Giorgos Kalaitzidis, co-founder of Rouvikonas and Nikos, both members of the same group and famous resistant in Greece. Indeed, both are prosecuted not for a crime, but this time for a crime. By exhuming an old law on the protection of historical monuments of great value – a law almost never used, intended for the Acropolis or Delphi – the power has found a way to trap our comrades who were always always careful not to cross this legal boundary in terms of qualification. Result: Giorgos and Nikos face 10 years in prison and are asked a huge security deposit of 30 000 euros each (60 000 euros in all) to be paid before June 14 (cf.Joint solidarity pot ), ie three weeks before the legislative elections. The desire to use the law to quickly lock several well-known members of the group and offer a resounding media show is clear.
The hardening of the repression against the group (whose last sentence in April amounted to 3,000 euros, ten times less) is one of the manipulations of instrumentalizing public opinion in the current context. In the wake of the European and local elections, Tsipras has just called for early parliamentary elections and will play its place on 7 July, as an easy-going side to the right. The right center of the electoral spectrum hates Exarcheia, the anarchists and other revolutionaries, and is preparing to send Mitsotakis, the leader of the right, to “evacuate Exarcheia in a month” and “imprison the bandits red and black”. For two months now, Tsipras has been striking all that is horrifying to the right and is gaining authoritarian credentials: six squats of refugees have been evacuated,
This attack against the resistance in Greece is undoubtedly the most frontal since the arrival in power of Tsipras. Because no group has resisted so much in recent years as Rouvikonas: daily, with courage and perseverance, like a serum against resignation. This resignation that had just caused Tsipras. Almost every day, we heard about anarchy and resistance in the news and the press. Almost every day, more and more people thought nothing was over.

Call for solidarity actions everywhere outside Greece, just as happened last night before the Greek embassy in Paris .
Call for financial support for those who can or, failing that, at least turn this call. Although we may not be able to prevent the imprisonment of Giorgos and Nikos, other members of the group may at least escape other, lighter sanctions and continue the fight.
