Shut Down Richard Spencer in Metro-Detroit on March 4th
There will be an alt-right, AKA neo-Nazi, conference somewhere in metro-Detroit on Sunday, March 4th.
Time and place TBA.
This event is for those who want to protest this event with the aim of trying to shut it down.
No platform for fascists.
This event was created with the hope that the people and organizations who want to shut this event down can unite.
Please let us know if you would like to co-sponsor this event.
Regardless, we hope that we can have maximum unity among all those who oppose fascism on March 4th.
UPDATE:
Richard Spencer is also planning to speak at the Michigan State University campus in Lansing, Michigan on Monday, March 5th.
The Nazis who will be at the conference in metro-Detroit are planning to take the world’s worst field trip to Lansing to see him speak.
If we stop this Nazi conference on the 4th, it’s possible that this would also stop the event at the MSU on the 5th. If not, we will join protesters at MSU in Lansing on the 5th since we know in advance exactly when and where he will be.
Spencer will speak from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 5 in the auditorium in the Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education.
MSU will set up a ticketing process for the event and control entry to the event, and provide police and security for the event.
